SaiFoundation
for Disabled, Children's & Old needy peoples has grown since its modest beginning in 2004. An
Organization with a "Small-Scale" approach, as its director says, and a
"long-term vision it is making a difference within the community through
personally monitored projects and contributions.
Mission:
SaiFoundation for Disabled, Children's & Old needy peoples aims to empower People With Disabilities to a position of
independence through education & Skills.
Today, in many parts of rural India, a child born with a disability seems to
be destined for a life of dependency. For the economically challenged, this
situation can be a dual edged sword. Disabled children are looked upon as
financial, mental and physical overheads to their already overburdened
families.
Pervasive lack of awareness about the physical condition and the options
available to work with or around the disabilities means that the children
are denied the special attention and assistance they need. These children
don’t go to school and hardly ever leave their homes directly impacting
their physical, social and mental development. Families will often favor a
healthy child over a disabled child, when it comes to food and attention.
Government benefits do not reach them, again because there is a lack of
knowledge and coordination.
SaiFoundation for Disabled, Children's & Old needy peoples, aspires to break through this environment and provide
support through training, education, Mobility Assistance, Medical camps,
equipment, gaushala ( Animal Shelters &
Food ) & AIDS awareness etc; giving these youngsters a chance to get integrated into
regular society.
But it takes more than love to make the program work. It takes the support
of Volunteers who contribute their time and provide financial support just
so another individual gets a shot at living a descent and respectable life.
